Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) plans the funds and announces calls for grant awards. This grant is firstly intended for successful SMEs engaged in production of goods or provision of services that are export oriented. Currently, they do not have majority representation on the markets abroad, but they do have a potential and good business ethics to achieve that.
Assistance is directed exclusively towards marketing activities, which are at the bottom of the priorities list to most Serbian firms, and certainly after production and sale organization costs. Those activities are of great importance for all companies because there is no noted success on foreign markets without a marketing plan and the support activities.
SIEPA also organizes business visits abroad in cooperation with state agencies of the countries to be visited. Purpose of such visits is not only increase of sale and profit, but also education of domestic exporters. During such visits, organized are also visits to foreign companies where domestic companies can meet with new products, technologies, trends or packages. In additions, on seminars arranged on such travels, one gets all the necessary information about the market and manner of business dong with companies from these countries.
SIEPA provides its clients with services of arranging visits of foreign buyers to domestic companies. All serious interested foreign buyers who want to establish cooperation with domestic producers can contact the employees of the Agency who will find suitable partners in the country and arrange a visit of a foreign buyer if there is interest.
