Preschool institution - In the city area security and care for children takes place in facilities of the Preschool Institution "Olga Jovicic Rita" and in organized a half-day stays of children. The preschool Institution has 11 whole-day facilities, nine in the city, one in Mataruska Spa and one in Usce. Children within these facilities are allocated in 27 nurseries and 38 educational groups through eleven-hour work time (ten-hour in Usce). The preschool Institution adjusted all available spaces within the facilities to the function of children accommodation. However, insufficient capacity for children accommodation still appears as a problem.
Apart from these groups, there is one mixed nursery and one mixed educational group operating within the Institution in the afternoon hours in the kindergarten "Mladost". Within this kindergarten there is a development group for the whole-day stay of children with special needs which currently counts six children.
A network of preparatory preschool groups has been formed on the territory of the city, so that there are 58 groups within 44 facilities (mainly facilities within primary schools and Local Communities). Fact has been recorded that a network of preschool institutions is missing in the rural area of Kraljevo.
